Community Involvement

Muddy Fork Bakery is proud to give back to our Bloomington community through Neighbor Loaves, Dine and Donate programs, and donating product and gift certificates to help nonprofits raise money.

Artisan Grain Collaborative

Neighbor Loaves are a project of the Artisan Grain Collaborative. Initially a response to the pandemic and increased demand at food pantries, Neighbor Loaves feed those in need while strengthening the local grain chain.
To participate, bakeries must use at least 50% local and sustainably-grown, stone milled flour.

How we make and bake our Neighbor Loaves

75 loaves a week

Muddy Fork Bakery was one of the first to join in March 2020. We commit to baking 75 whole wheat loaves each week and delivering them to Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard. When we don’t sell 75 Neighbor Loaves, we kick in the balance.
